Rainfall stops top-of-the-table clash

The much-anticipated game between Killer Giants and Jwaneng Comets could not be played at Siga Grounds because of a water- logged pitch. An hour before the top of the table First Division South match could start, there was a heavy downpour in Ramotswa that made the pitch unplayable

At some point the two teams wanted to shift the match to the Ramotswa Show Ground only to discover that a Second Division duel match was taking place at the venue.
Eventually, it was decided that the match should be postponed to a date to be decided later.

However, both teams are not worried by the turn of events though the postponement means they now have two outstanding games. "It was something beyond human control. There was nothing we could do. Both teams were gearing for this encounter but it could not go ahead under those conditions.
