Rain halts Police's quest

A heavy cloudburst on Saturday evening halted Police's quest for a berth in the top four, at least for now, after their decisive game against Cadets had to be stopped due to bad weather.

Earlier on the same day, the police force outfit had beaten Jwaneng side Bullets 73-55. Ironically, the team they were to play in the evening, Cadets, are also vying for the remaining fourth spot in the national finals. The top four that pits teams that finish at the top quarter of the log is set for next month.

After an emphatic victory over Bullets, Police had hoped to carry the same form into their tie against Cadets.Police showed their intentions to win the Bullets game from the very onset when their captain Oscar Gobusamang got them off to a good basket with early successive baskets.
