A vigilant third quarter display saw Jungle Queens narrowly beat stubborn Mochudi Centre Chiefs in a Spar Good For You Netball league game on Saturday.

Queens kept their team relatively unchanged from the side that lost to UB Crystals last week, with their evergreen defender,  Opelo Setshwano restoring her place in the starting line after missing last weekend's game. The first quarter was characterised by scrappy play with both teams failing to convert the few chances they created. Queens only opened the score-sheet three minutes into the game through forward Gomolemo Baletsang.

There were a few scores in the opening quarter as the two teams seemed to cancel each other out. As the quarter time whistle went, Chiefs narrowly led 7-4.Queens started off strongly in the second quarter, but were often let down by the final pass. On the other hand, Chiefs' players were shy to take responsibility every time they got a chance to convert, but their forward, Kgalalelo Selatlhwe carried the burden on her shoulders and did not disappoint. Play became balanced as the game wore on with the tempo of the game slightly increasing.
