Queens edge Prisons in Spar Netball League

Jungle Queens put up a superb final quarter performance to narrowly beat Prisons 30-27 in a tightly contested Spar Netball League encounter played at Molepolole Sports Complex on Saturday.

The win ensured a 100 percent record for Queens who beat Flying Doves in the opening match of the season. But Queens did not start off well as they looked unsettled in the opening stages of the game. Their opponents crowded the midcourt and never allowed them space.

Prisons' second quarter substitution  of  Otsile Mpala for Maina Gabotlhaloswe in Wing Attack saw them turn on the heat in attack. But a determined Queens put up an inspired performance towards the end of the third quarter and led at the end. Prisons' youthful players seemed to have lost concentration at that stage.
