Mascom Premier League side, Prisons XI have promised to fight to the bitter end to avoid relegation. Prisons XI are currently rooted in the second relegation spot in the 16-team competition with five games remaining.

Assistant coach Gideon Tsenang told Mmegi Sport yesterday that they desperately need to win all their matches to survive. "It is a big task for us but we should at least win four games in order to survive or to make it to the play-offs," he said. He urged supporters to understand that the Mascom Premier League campaign has been tough. He said they did not start the campaign well in the first round. The situation was made worse by injuries to their top strikers, Tatenda Mbikiwa and Moses Magwaneng. "We were forced to introduce young players to the starting team and tried to convert some of them into strikers and that was not enough to get as many points as we wanted," he said.

He expressed hope that since the experienced strikers have recovered from injuries, they will help the team to win matches though their fitness might prove to be a setback. He said their game against TASC is a must win as they struggle to overtake Jwaneng Comets in the race for survival.
