SELEBI-PHIKWE: The battle for control of the Selebi-Phikwe soccer is far from over with reports that the Botswana Football Association (BFA) and the Premier League Committee (PLC) have been sucked into the feud.

Selebi-Phikwe Football Region Association (SPFRA) has been rocked by infighting that others say is part of a wider plot by BFA president David Fani and his allies to push out loyalists of his predecessor, Philip Makgalemele.

In one corner stands SPFRA chairperson, Michael Molefe and the man he ousted from the seat, Tebro Onkabetse. The factional fight has intensified despite pleas from Molefe for a halt. There are allegations that Fani who recaptured the BFA presidency last year from Makgalemele is out to settle scores. It is said that there is a plot to purge Makgalemele loyalists like Molefe from the BFA.
