Premier League Committee (PLC) chairperson, Mokganedi Molefe is optimistic of a breakthrough in the impasse over the Nike technical sponsorship.

Some big clubs have refused to be part of the deal that involves players using Nike-branded kits during games. The clubs say they already have kit sponsors. However, Molefe said they have been talking to the clubs to find a solution. Since the PLC announced Nike as the new technical sponsors, some clubs distanced themselves from the deal saying they were never consulted.

Rollers, Gaborone United (GU) and Extension Gunners have refused to wear kits provided by Nike. Molefe however expressed optimism that in the end, the three clubs will come on board and agree to the deal. He said there was no way the PLC will terminate the sponsorship despite the controversy surrounding it.
