Players are happy with me - TASC coach

TASC coach Christopher Chibuye says he is disappointed with a recent report in one of the local newspapers, which claimed that the players were at war with the coach.

He told Mmegi Sport yesterday that there have never been any problems between him and his players. "I am very disappointed with that report and the players are also very disappointed because they never told that reporter that they had a problem with me," he said.

Chibuye had said in his interview with Mmegi Sport that he missed the services of some of the key players when TASC lost to BDF XI and Boteti Young Fighters last month. But a report in another paper charged that some players felt that the coach was undermining them when he mentioned that the absence of some key players cost the games. TASC played both games without the services of enterprising midfielder Tebogo Mothusi, striker Joseph Chanda, defender Nelson Sefedile and midfielder Victor Watlala. The trio form the core of the team. And the Zambian coach said that he was not meaning to undermine the players that were available. "The reporter felt that I did not have faith in the players that were available but it is not true. Every player in the team is very important but everywhere there are key players in the team and that does not mean that the other players are unimportant," he said.
