Phikwe Region Gets Football Boss

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Ernest Molapisi has been appointed Selebi-Phikwe Regional Football Association chairman. Molapisi is a former secretary of the regional association. He was elected chairman during the association's recent annual general assembly.

He takes over from Michael Molefhe who resigned and relocated to Palapye. The positions of chairman and an additional member have been vacant at the association for about three months. The general assembly elected James Makuni as an additional member in place of Etlhomilwe Raditshego who is now the Nico United chairman. Molapisi and Makuni were elected unopposed.

Molapisi said his football region is already faced with many challenges and his committee will work hard to bring unity. He said the knowledge he acquired during his service at club and regional level will help him run the association effectively. He added that his committee will devise ways on how to revive the spirit of football in the mining town and attract more fans to stadiums.
