Phikwe names Under-19 tennis team

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Botswana Tennis Association (BTA) Selebi-Phikwe resident coach, Wellington Sibanda has selected what he believes to be his strongest side to participate in the National Under-19 Championships in Gaborone next month.

The new tournament would see all regions participating in the event during which BTA is to select the Under-20 team for next year's Zone Six Championships. After intense scrutiny, Sibanda settled for experience with Trevor Morekisi, Ketsile Sam, Phodiso Senthufe and Marang Khunwane all making the squad. The quartet is expected to provide the necessary experience to the squad that also includes Ushe Setshwaelo, B. Calisto, Obakeng Atlolang and Kutlo Tshikare.

Most of the squad members have been exposed to international tennis with the exception of Tshikare.
