Phikwe golfers selected for national team

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Three Selebi-Phikwe Golf Club members have been selected to the junior and senior national teams preparing for international assignments.

Shane Granger (Snr) has been included in the provisional senior national team squad that will participate in the Zone Six tournament in Zambia next month.

Top 16 senior players were invited for trials in Gaborone, and Granger and Oganeditse Marata made the cut from Phikwe. However, Marata, due to other commitments, could not make it for the trials. Phikwe competition secretary Marata said Granger made the grade into the provisional squad of 10 players.
