Peace Makers brace for Highlanders' backlash

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Rookies Peace Makers are aware of the backlash they face when they travel to Mahalapye to face wounded leaders, BR Highlanders in a First Division North match tomorrow.

Highlanders lost 3-2 to No Mathata in an entertaining top of the table clash in Selebi-Phikwe last weekend. No Mathata and Highlanders are now tied at the top with 14 points each.Peace Makers was inactive last weekend, but Highlanders failed to win their last encounter and will be out to halt the slide. No Mathata has an easy looking home assignment against Maun Tigers at the Selebi-Phikwe Stadium tomorrow.

However, No Mathata might emerge from the 7pm kick-off tie bruised as former Premier League side, Motlakase Power Dynamos can testify. Motlakase was resoundingly thumped 4-0 in Maun. But Tigers could not sustain the momentum last week as they fell 1-0 to Two-Two-Five, the modest Senete side, which has just hired former Satmos coach, Stanford Ntini. If Highlanders slip, this might afford No Mathata an opportunity to steer clear.
