Oteng reigns supreme

Boxing's golden boy, Oteng Oteng's reign as the best boxer of his generation continued as he was named boxer of the year for the second consecutive year at the third annual Debswana Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) awards on Saturday.

The Olympic bound, Oteng is a regular figure since the inception of the awards three years ago having won the most promising boxer in the inaugural ceremony when he was still 20 years old. He progressed to win the coveted boxer of the year last year.

He has definitely come of age in the past year winning gold at the Zone IV championship and at the national championship. His biggest triumph was however, the All Africa Games gold he won in Maputo, Mozambique last September.
