Botswana boxing's sole Olympic Game representative, Oteng 'Terrible OT' Oteng is geared for his final leg of preparations after struggling with an injury recently.

Oteng, who returned to the country from a Europe tour, left for France on Friday where he is expected to wrap up his preparations for the London Games.

The reigning Sportsman of the Year suffered a knock on his hand during a training session last month, but has said he feels much better and is raring to compete at the Olympics. The Olympics kick off on July 27. The flyweight boxer said after being attended to by doctors, he is all set to continue with his preparations. "I am ready to continue preparing for the Olympics, the injury has been attended to by doctors and I feel much better. I am going to France and I feel I have had the best preparations and I am ready for the Olympics," Oteng told Mmegi Sport.   Oteng hailed the Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) and the Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) for the intensive training he received in Cuba. He said the experience of training with boxers from European countries will come in handy in London this month.
