Orthosurge Donates To Blue Angeles

Orthorsurge Botswana, a supplier and installer of medical equipment has donated playing kit worth P6,800 to military softball club, Blue Angeles.

The donation was handed over at the Sir Seretse Khama Barracks (SSKB) last week by the company's managing director, Sehularo Motshegare who said they have been associated with other sports in the past and they felt it was time they helped softball. Motshegare said they chose Blue Angeles because they have read about them in the media and they were impressed by their progress. He challenged the players to be role models. "You should always behave accordingly in and outside the field of play," Motshegare said.  He told the players to stay away from alcohol. Motshegare was hopeful that the club's hard work will this time land them in position one.

Blue Angels finished in second position last year after being walloped by their elder brothers BDF in a closely contested final. "I trust you will not disappoint me and I am proud to have donated to a big team," he said. The club finished second in the Oseg tournament organised by Vikings Softball Club. Blue Angeles head coach, Bobby Khupe was delighted that Orthosurge helped them and promised that they will do their best in the league that started over the weekend. He appealed to the company to continue to help them as they struggle to buy equipment for the women side. Blue Angeles was formed in 2002 and joined the national league in 2004.
