Orapa JSS dominates zonal tennis championships

FRANCISTOWN: Orapa JSS dominated the north zonal tennis championships held at Francistown club's tennis courts over the weekend.

The team was unstoppable as it swooped all the medals in boys' singles category with Thomamo Phuthego, Tshephang Phirinyane and Oratile Modisanyana getting gold, silver and bronze medals. The pair of Katlego Bashe and Jerry Sekao won gold in the boys' doubles while Warona Rajane and Naomi Moalosi ran away with gold in the mixed doubles.

In other categories, Kelebogile Monnayoo of Donga JSS won gold in girls' singles and her schoolmates Opelo Khumalo and Thato Seomile walked away with gold medals in girls' doubles.Commenting on the performances of her charges, Orapa JSS coach Dimakatso Tefo-Tefo attributed her players' competitive advantage to benefactors like Debswana and other stakeholders.
