The Botswana Football Association (BFA) and the local cellular network service providers, Orange have renewed their relationship through a three-year P16.6 million sponsorship deal.

Besides the significant increase in the cash prize, Orange have announced that the new sponsorship will see them remain the lead sponsors, but would cede 50 percent of the marketing and branding rights around the team to other non- telecommunication brands or companies willing to sign up with the BFA as co-sponsors of the national squad.

"If the BFA secures two additional sponsors, this could potentially double the value of the sponsorship to the association to P33 million," Orange Botswana chief executive officer (CEO), Elisabeth Medou-Badang said yesterday.
