Orakle, Henyan Conduct Basketball Camp For Orphans

Former American professional baseball player, Peter Henyan and local musician, Orakle conducted a charity basketball camp in Gaborone for two orphanages.

The camp at Regent Hill Primary School ran from Monday to Thursday with 24 participants from Tsogang Trust and Happy Home Botswana. The multi-talented Henyan rapped in Orakle's upcoming album titled 'Gemini'. He said that he decided to coordinate a holiday schools camp for children in Botswana just like he has been doing in America. The former Philadelphia Phillies player said that his aim is to improve children's sporting abilities through the camps. He said that he normally covers various sporting codes during the camps but on this particular one, he decided to focus mainly on basketball.

"I started by teaching the children the sports' basics such as dribbling and shooting. We later divided them into teams where we tested their abilities," he said. Henyan was strict on the rules of the game in order to improve the children's talent level.
