Officials call for calm as Notwane struggles again

For the third season, Notwane is struggling in the Premier League. Toronto has not registered a win in the new be MOBILE Premier League campaign after four outings.

Notwane have two points from two draws and last Friday, they fell 3-2 to Township Rollers at the University of Botswana (UB) Stadium. However, the most painful result for Toronto fans must be the 2-1 loss to newly promoted Killer Giants.

Though club officials say there is no need to panic, it seems that Notwane's title hopes are ending very early. Notwane last won the league title in 1996. This season, the club did not boost its youthful squad with experienced campaigners despite the fact that it lost influential players in veteran striker Tshepiso  'Sox' Molwantwa who is plying his trade in the First Division and long-serving defender Mpoeleng 'Stopper' Mpoeleng. Mpoeleng has joined Mochudi Centre Chiefs.  Other key players who left the Notwane stable are midfielder Botshelo Mogotsi to Extension Gunners, Jack Mothatego and goalkeeper Mmopoloki Sephekelo.
