Oatlhotse conquers giants at Olympiad

He missed the 2008 Olympiad in Dresden, Germany, due to work commitments, but the presence of the man nicknamed 'GM Pro' just confirmed why Providence Oatlhotse (2213, Fide rating) is highly regarded in the local chess team.

This was only his second appearance at the Olympiad, his debut being in 2004 when he scored 5.5points.
Playing on Board 2, Oatlhotse played 10 games at the just-ended Olympiad in Russia. He won four, drew three and lost three against two grand masters from Russia and Vietnam and a chess master from Zambia. Oatlhotse would feel he could have done better, especially against Jere.

Interestingly, Oatlhotse scored against some tougher and better-rated players, including an International Master, two Fide Masters, and a Candidate Master, while Oatlhotse himself is untitled.
