The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is hunting for a new vice president (technical) after Ernest Nthobelang resigned this week. Nthobelang quit the association on Monday to focus on his political campaign.

“Yes I can confirm that I resigned this week. This is an election year and I have realised that I will use more time campaigning and football might suffer so this was the best option for me,” he explained yesterday.

He said his resignation was based purely on his political interest and nothing else. Nthobelang is the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) parliamentary candidate for Mahalapye East.
