Notwane stand-in captain, Mpoeleng 'Stopper' Mpoeleng has said that they will continue to give their Zimbabwean coach, Paul 'Barena' Moyo the necessary support even though it is clear that there are some supporters who want him to be fired.

In recent weeks, there have been calls from supporters that Moyo should be relieved of his duties for failure to perform. The situation got worse after Notwane lost 3-1 to bitter cross-town rivals Township Rollers last month. The supporters believed that the game was lost from the bench. "I think this man (Moyo) is not up to the task. Look at how he made some stupid substitutions. We have to get a better coach," a disgruntled supporter told Mmegi Sport.

Despite the fact that since their defeat to Rollers, Toronto have improved tremendously, registering a hard -earned 2-2 draw away to ECCO City Greens and beating TAFIC and Nico United some supporters are still calling for Moyo's head. Toronto are currently lying on the 12th position with 15 points from 14 games. This weekend, they travel to the diamond-mining town of Orapa to take on Boteti Young Fighters on Saturday. Yesterday, Mpoeleng said that the players are fully behind Moyo. "Believe me when I say that there is no player who is unhappy with the coach. After losing to Santos, we held a meeting as players where we discussed a lot of issues and nobody mentioned that he was unhappy with what the coach is doing. It is unfortunate that the team has not been doing well and he has been used as a scapegoat," he said. Mpoeleng pointed out that the management is not doing enough to address their grievances, hence the poor results. But they have made an agreement as players that they must fight as a team and get results to protect their reputation. He believes that Moyo understands the mentality of players and acts more as a parent to them. The fact that the coach has been at Notwane before has made him stay despite the problems.
