Notwane finally returned to winning ways on Friday night when they beat Gaborone United (GU) 2-1 in an exciting be MOBILE Premier League match played at the New Lobatse Stadium. It was Toronto's first victory in three matches and their second of the season.

Before the Friday match, both Notwane and GU had been struggling with form. They had won only once in five matches. GU had drawn their last two matches, while Notwane had lost twice in a row before the duel. The two giants went into the match eager to register victory. Notwane welcomed back their South African striker, Manqoba Ngwenya and his countryman, Benedict Vilakazi.

The return of Ngwenya and Tshepiso Molwantwa in the starting line up for Toronto saw both Emmanuel Masisi and Pako Moloi starting on the bench. GU on the other hand started with their usual first team although Ronald Chikomo played the better part of the match on the wing. Moemedi Moatlhaping and Tebogo Sembowa partnered upfront.
