SELEBI-PHIKWE: The national rugby team, The Vultures continue to struggle to secure sponsorship ahead of the England World Cup 2015 qualification games that will be played in Dakar, Senegal next week.

Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) president, Bob Lekan told Mmegi Sport that they have not yet managed to find sponsorship even though they are going for such crucial games. He revealed that the team does not have a kit and they have not been able to find any company that can assist them and even the Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) has not provided any assistance.

Lekan said it was disappointing that a national team does not have a sponsor ahead of crucial qualifiers. "The players have not been paid their appearance fees from last year despite winning the Five Nations tournament. The money should be coming from the government not BNSC or BRU. "This kind of arrangement might distract the players but we tried addressing them about the matter," said Lekan.
