No plans to move World Cup from Brazil

After two workmen were killed by a falling crane at the Sao Paulo stadium construction site, FIFA says it has no plans to move the 2014 World Cup away from Brazil.

The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, is the third fatal accident at World Cup stadium sites in Brazil, with two construction workers having been killed in the past two years.

The crane destroyed part of Sao Paulo’s Arena Corinthians stadium, where Brazil are set to play the opening match of the World Cup. An investigation into the cause of the accident will begin today.
