The Premier League Committee (PLC) is said to have run into trouble with the technical sponsorship deal signed with Nike a month ago.

It is said representatives of BDV Sports Company who represented Nike in the 'controversial' technical sponsorship agreement worth $820,000 have disappeared into thin air. Reports say BDV Sports is still to deliver on its promises yet the league is scheduled to start next Friday. This has caused panic at the PLC secretariat and clubs who were looking forward to benefit from the deal.

During the launch of the deal in Gaborone on August 7, BDV Sports promised that Nike would provide all the Premier League clubs with home and away kits. You have to note that our league is growing and we have to move with the times," said PLC chairman Mike Molefe during the launch.
