Nigeria name strong squad for Zebras friendly

Nigeria has named a strong squad for the international friendly against the Zebras on November 12.

Zebras play Nigeria as they continue preparing for next year's Africa Cup of Nations finals to be co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, starting on January 21.Nigeria is one of the four football powerhouses that failed to qualify for next year's continental event and would use the friendly games to prepare for the 2013 showpiece, as well as qualifiers for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The friendly game would give Zebras the much-needed preparation having been drawn against West African powerhouses, Ghana, Guinea and Mali.

Among key figures in the squad, are goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, Mikel Obi and Osaze Odemwingie who were part of the Nigerian side at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Zebras on the other hand are also in camp preparing for the epic encounter. Botswana Football Association (BFA) are also said to be courting another tough side, Senegal, as preparations intensify following what is widely considered a tough draw for the AFCON debutants.
