Nico's problems far from over

Nico United might have caused a major upset last week in the be MOBILE Premier League but their problems on the pitch are far from over. This was evident when Majombolo played Notwane at Lobatse Stadium on Saturday and failed to live up to what is expected of a super-charged side that has just defeated the reigning champions.

Nico fell 2-1 to the struggling Notwane in a match where the score did not reflect the weaknesses of the Selebi-Phikwe side. Toronto could have inflicted a bigger punishment on an erratic Nico team that lacked creativity and the killer instinct. Notwane has not been playing well recently and their fans expected Nico to run roughshod over them following the emphatic victory in Selebi Phikwe last week. But against Nico, Toronto looked like serious title contenders.

A jittery Notwane goalkeeper Mompoloki Sephekolo regained his poise as the match progressed after dropping easy balls at the early stages. Nico striker, Thobo 'Fish' Kgoboge spent most of the time complaining about his teammates' failure to set him up.
