Ngwenya still at the helm

The embattled Township Rollers coach, Dickson Ngwenya is keeping his job - at least for now.

Of late, there have been renewed calls to fire the coach as the team has been performing below par. His lot was not helped by the shock elimination of Rollers from the Coca-Cola Cup by minnows Mochudi Buffaloes. Since then Ngwenya has come under a barrage of attacks from Rollers supporters, some of whom demand he should be sacked.

But this week, he told Mmegi Sport that he is still with the Gaborone West based team. The usually media friendly Rollers boss, Somerset Gobuiwang declined to comment about the issue yesterday saying it is an internal matter. There have been talk that the club want a new coach for the coming season. Other people attribute Rollers' dismal performance to factions.
