New volleyball club ready to walk after crawling

It all started as a dream for the former women’s national team assistant coach, Mapetla Garanna to set up a volleyball club in the copper mining town of Selebi-Phikwe.

That dream was realised when, together with other teachers in surrounding villages of Tobane, Mmadinare and Sefophe, the Phikwe Volleyball Club was formed last year. The club made its debut in the Mascom League this season.
