New table tennis league starts in May

The table tennis league is expected to start at the end of May and run until September.

The Botswana Table Tennis Association (BTTA) has been working on forming a league to facilitate the growth of the game. The BTTA League Committee has put together a working document, which outlines how the competition will run.

BTTA president, Robert Maabong, said the League Committee made the final presentation last month and he is confident the league will kick off at the end of May. "We have progressed well; our AGM will be around June because we decided to move it to accommodate a number of issues such as finalisation of accounts and constitutional review," Maabong told Mmegi Sport.
