New Sowa golf boss wants to catch them young

Sowa Golf Club chairman and former Botswana Golf Union (BGU) vice president (North) Simon Ramphethu was recently elected president of the association. He tells Mmegi Sport correspondent THATO KALA that there is need to sell the sport to young Batswana.

Mmegi: What are you impressions about the state of golf in the country?

Simon Ramphethu: There are four lenses you can use to evaluate the state of golf in Botswana, the first being the, golfing infrastructure and management, the second being the population participation, third, being junior development and the fourth being the competitiveness of the country in regional and continental tournament.
