New Karate Style Launched

The founder of Botswana Shokukai Karate Federation (BSKF) Thuto Thuto has launched a new karate style. The style known as Yuishiukai Kubojutsu was launched on Thursday. It would be governed by the Botswana Yuishiukai Kubojutsu Federation (BYKF).

Speaking at the official launch of the style in Gaborone on Thursday, Thuto explained that the new body will initially be involved in training, creating awareness and sharpening skills. The BYKF is not yet affiliated to the Botswana Karate Association (BOKA).
Thuto said they will sit down with BOKA to discuss affiliation. He said there is a possibility of not affiliating to BOKA because they are not doing the same thing.

He revealed that the BYKF membership is small since it is a new body but this will change with time.  He explained that the style is similar to others like Shokukai but more defensive as it includes both armed and unarmed combat.
