New BRU boss throws Cheetahs a lifeline

The new president of the Botswana Rugby Union (BRU), Elijah Jones intends to submit a proposal during the union meeting requesting to co-opt an official from BDF Cheetahs.

The proposal follows the committee members’ elections that were held during the BRU annual general meeting where BDF officials lost in all positions they contested for.  Farid Pandor was contesting for two positions, vice president and treasurer.

Kadimo Modisa had challenged for the position of secretary general. Jones told Mmegi Sport in an interview yesterday that he could not let the outcome of the elections ruin the relationship that BRU had with BDF.
