Netball qualifiers to test Botswana�s readiness

Botswana will host the African Netball Youth World Cup qualifiers scheduled to start on Sunday until July 31, which will test the country’s readiness to host next year’s showpiece. The country will host nine countries that are vying for the three spots for the tournament proper next year, which Botswana hosts.

The participating countries include African netball powerhouses Malawi and South Africa, minnows Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The games will be played at the University Of Botswana (UB) Indoor Sports Centre. The Botswana Netball Association (BONA) announced late last year that they will appoint an international coach to work with the team for the World Cup.
