The national Under-21 netball team left yesterday for Cook Island, Australia to compete in the World Youth Championships which starts tomorrow.

The 12-strong squad is under the guidance of Lorato Thebekgosi. Twenty countries are expected to take part in championships scheduled for Ratoronga.

Botswana is in the same group with neighbours South Africa, Australia, Samoa and Fiji. Thebekgosi believes Botswana can pull through this group. Botswana has played South Africa before but lost. However, Botswana has beaten Samoa at senior level and this gives hope to Thebekgosi that they might repeat the feat at junior level.
