Naughty Boys outwit Tlokweng United

Naughty Boys topped Tlokweng United in a seven-goal slugfest to enhance their chances of bouncing back to the Premier League after a year in the First Division. The former Premier League side won the Tlokweng derby 4-3 with former Township Rollers' forward Galefetoge 'Dilo Dilo' Kenaope scoring a brace. As early as the 10th minute, Tlokweng United piled pressure on their rivals and found the back of the net but the goal was ruled out in highly controversial circumstances. Referee Jonathan Male initially gave the goal but changed his mind after realising that one of his assistants, Bakwena Simankalele, had his flag up.

Tlokweng United players were still celebrating Sholo Moilwa's goal when Male surprised everybody by awarding a goal-kick. This caused an uproar from players and supporters who felt the referee should have stood by his ground as he was close to the action and did not need the input of his assistants to make a decision.

But 14 minutes later, Kenaope pounced after taking advantage of Isaiah Mothupi's suspect goalkeeping to put Naughty Boys ahead. The former Rollers' marksman spotted Mothupi coming out of his line and easily chipped the ball over him.
