Newly-promoted Tlokweng Naughty Boys have high hopes of signing a sponsorship deal soon in preparation for another testing time in the Mascom Premier League.

The club is currently negotiating with Future Stationery and a deal might be signed and sealed in a few days' time. The stationery company has been supporting the club since last season. Naughty Boys' spokesperson Moganetsi Odirile confirmed to Mmegi Sport that they have started negotiations with the company and they are hopeful to strike a deal in a few days' time. "We have been working closely with this company. Last season, they were not our sponsors but they were helping us with players' bonuses. They were really keen on seeing us survive and they were there even at the play-offs (last season) but unfortunately we bowed out. But their incentives helped us a lot," Odirile said.

He explained that they relegated from the Premier League partly because they struggled financially. Often they found it difficult to raise money for camp and travel. "It was not easy for us and as you know, if you do not have money, you cannot attract good players. You just have to make do with what you have and just hope that they can pull a few surprises. That is why this time, we have started well in time, preparing for the season ahead," he said.
