National Cricket Players Lacked Mental Strength - Official

Lack of mental strength has been blamed for Botswana's dismal performance at the just-ended International Cricket Council (ICC) Division Six World Cup qualifiers in Singapore.

Botswana was relegated to Division Seven after winning two matches and losing four.

The national team manager Fazal Sheriff said they lost games due to small mistakes, which could have been avoided had the players been mentally strong. Sheriff said despite good preparations prior to the qualifiers, the players under-performed.
