Namibia faces a maximum of four years' suspension after withdrawing from the just-ended Zone VI boxing championship in Gaborone. The Namibians quit the regional tournament saying that the judges robbed them. Lesotho-based Zone VI president, Thabo Mohapi, said after the tournament that Namibia will be dealt with accordingly.

"They misbehaved and their unsporting behaviour is punishable according to our constitution and carries a maximum of four years' suspension from boxing activities," he explained.

"They did not withdraw citing any reasons. They just pulled out. There was some lack of knowledge and understanding on their part because they can forfeit a lot of opportunities as a result of their action," the Zone VI president said. He explained that Namibia should have submitted a protest to the jury instead of withdrawing. He said the pull-out marred the reputation of the sport.
