MODIPANE: Modipane United frustrated and beat red-hot title favourites Letlapeng FC 1-0 in a tightly contested match in the Debswana First Division South League match on Saturday afternoon. The exciting clash was played in front of a capacity crowd because it was supposed to crown Letlapeng as champions with an automatic ticket to the Premier League.

However, Onalenna Malatsi struck in the 30th minute to deny the Ramotswa side the three points they needed desperately to qualify for the topflight for the first time. The result means Letlapeng will now have to wait for the next game to be crowned champions. In the first half, both sides wasted several chances.
