MP Slams Makgalemele

Makgalemele recently told politicians to stop making populist statements on football after Youth, Sport and Culture Minister Moeng Pheto revealed the pay of two soccer coaches following a question by Tshireletso in Parliament.

"I am very angry with him for saying that I wanted to gain political mileage by asking the question in Parliament. As an MP, I have the responsibility to ask questions. Why is he saying that when we have always asked questions about other organisations," she said. Tshireletso told Monitor Sport that as an MP, she will continue to ask questions on matters concerning sports and other things. "I am already an MP and what political mileage do I want to gain now?
