Motorsport postpones AGM to avoid chaos

The Botswana Motor Sport has postponed its annual general meeting (AGM) that was scheduled for this weekend to avoid a chaotic gathering.

There is trouble within the association, sparked by the resignation of three senior committee members late last month.

The trio of vice president, Roseline Mamaloukos, treasurer Alida Steytler and Joseph Khengere who served as a public relations officer, left their positions in August, accusing their counterparts of abuse of office.  The meeting scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday), was expected to produce fireworks as disgruntled members were said to be gunning for the president’s head with a motion of no confidence on the horizon while a financial report was also a major factor.
