Motor sport clubs in Gaborone have pleaded with sponsors to rescue them from their perennial financial woes. Joe Bosele, coach of Riding Dirty Motor Sport told Mmegi Sport that lack of funds is a huge challenge in the sport.

“If we have sponsors, we can spread the sport to the public,” he said. Speaking on the sidelines of the auto festival held in Gaborone over the weekend, Bosele said his club does not have a proper racing track and has resorted to using one in Mmopane.

The club has seven motor bikes and Bosele said due to financial constraints, they are unable to purchase more. He said their mission is to curb drug abuse by the young generation through developing their talent.
