Motlhabankwe faces Gunners

For almost six years, utility player Tshepo 'Talk-Talk' Motlhabankwe was regarded as an idol by both the young and old generation of Lobatse supporters because of his brilliant display at Extension Gunners.

Since the departure of Itumeleng Duiker, never had a player been so highly regarded by Gunners' faithful as Motlhabankwe. In recent years, Motlhabankwe has been the only player from Gunners in the national team and at times his absence was felt when he was on national duty.

 
It never crossed the minds of Gunners' faithful that at some stage they would have to part ways with their most priced asset. This is because in every transfer window, Motlhabankwe was always linked to rumours about players contemplating leaving their camp but stayed put. Township Rollers, Notwane and BDF XI were mentioned as his possible destinations at the time.
