Morule fires salvos as he steps down

Outgoing Botswana Softball Association (BSA) president, Marumo Morule will not seek re-election because he feels unappreciated. As the softball family converges in Palapye tomorrow for the annual general meeting (AGM) to among other things, elect a new president, Morule will not stand for the election.

Morule said he thinks he has become a liability to the game and the environment is no longer conducive for him to continue. He said the BSA has not been making much headway, but moving in circles as focus shifted from developing the game to his leadership style. Morule said his 'each and every decision' was questioned. In a candid interview, Morule said with the experience he has, he thought he could help develop softball, but said that was not possible, as he did not get much support. "I have vast experience in softball that could help the game move forward but other people did not look at it that way," he said.
