Botswana’s leading female boxer, Pearl Tsitsi Morake returns to action in January after a self-afforded hiatus towards the end of last season owing to a fallout with the old Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) executive.

For the first time since she started her pugilism career, Morake missed the country’s premier boxing tournament, the Mooka Mageu National Boxing Championships, citing ‘political reasons’.

“I couldn’t play the championships due to some political issues surrounding the matter. I would not want talk about that,” she told Mmegi Sport.
