Montsho shows Americans clean pair of heels

Commonwealth and Africa champion, Amantle Montsho spoiled the party for Americans on their own soil when she won the 400m in the Prefontaine Classic over the weekend.

She clocked 50.59 seconds at Eugene, Oregon to deny American Allyson Felix the chance to defend her title. Felix finished third behind compatriot Debbie Dunn. It was sweet revenge for Montsho who last week trailed Felix at a Canada Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, Kenia Sinclair of Jamaica beat South African Caster Semenya in 800m with a time of 1.58.88. Semenya romped home 0.59 secs after Sinclar crossed the line.
