Molome resigns from Chiefs?

Molome is reported to have dropped the bombshell on Friday morning. Information reaching Mmegi Sport indicates that the flamboyant chairman decided to quit after a heated meeting with the other officials. "The issue which has forced Molome to come to this decision is the alleged misuse of funds in the team. Chiefs are a big name and when nobody can account for some amounts, then it is a problem," said an inside source yesterday.

Mmegi Sport is further informed that the club borrowed money from him to pay the salaries of the players and was to be refunded last Thursday. When that did not happen, Molome was upset and decided to resign. "When Molome wanted his payment, some officials demanded to know what happened to the money which was generated through the team's merchandise.
