Mojadife win schools' cricket tourney

Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) government schools' tournament ended on Wednesday with Mojadife Primary School coming tops.

Mojadife overcame runners-up Rasesa Primary School in the final. Rasesa scored 80 runs all out in 17 overs while Mojadife scored 81 for five wickets in 13 overs. They won the gold and silver medals on top of the trophies. Rasesa Primary School's Sabata Mmakgaka was voted the player of the series after his sterling performance, which saw his school come second. He also won two gold medals after being chosen the best player of the match in two games.

BCA Sports Development Officer Girish Ramakrishna said that the tournament was a success. He said that they never imagined they could achieve what they did when they first started the tournament.
